Baseten provides an infrastructure platform for machine learning engineers to deploy, scale, and monitor AI models. It makes serving deep learning models production-ready and efficient.
Key Competencies & Interview Evaluation for Baseten
Evaluates systems-level engineering prowess, deep understanding of ML inference infrastructure, and performance optimization for heavy models.
- 1. Treating ML infrastructure as standard CRUD web application development
- 2. Lack of familiarity with container orchestration, networking, and hardware constraints in production
- 3. Proposing bloated solutions that ignore the economic reality of running heavy LLMs at scale
I obsess over squeezing every ounce of latency and cost out of GPU inference clusters without sacrificing model reliability.
