Position Summary & Responsibilities

As an Assistant Teacher (Float) at Bezos Academy (internally titled Assistant Teacher I), you share our passion for early childhood education and commitment to creating nurturing, high-quality learning environments for all children. While exact responsibilities will vary from school to school, you may assist in classrooms, serve and supervise mealtimes, and support the overall operations of the school. Drawing on your organizational skills, professionalism, and commitment to children, you will support a multi-state network of schools in under-resourced communities, offering quality Montessori-inspired preschool at no cost to families.

LOCATION

We are actively hiring for an Assistant Teacher (Float) to support our preschool in Houston – Denver Harbor (6402 Market St, Houston, TX 77020).

This position is expected to last through April 30, 2027.

SCHEDULES, BENEFITS, AND COMPENSATION

School schedules vary depending on community needs but generally range from 8am-5:30pm, with teachers staggered across these hours with varying start and end times totaling no more than 8 hours per day. Your specific schedule will be determined with your school leader when considering all staff, classroom, and community needs.
This is a full time (40 hours per week), non-exempt/hourly position.
This is a limited-term position anticipated through April 30, 2027.
This role includes up to 12 days of scheduled breaks, 3 days of paid personal time off, sick (care) time accrued based on hours worked, 10 paid holidays
