While most "AI support" tools still focus on FAQs and deflection, Maven's agents actually do the work: autonomously interacting with customers, personalizing the conversation, and resolving complex issues, not just providing information.
That's not a soft ROI story. It's the most direct cost-displacement case in enterprise software today: real human work, replaced, at a fraction of the cost. Not "savings if you use it well," but savings because the agent did the ticket instead of a person.
Founded in 2023 by executives from HubSpot, Google, and Stripe, Maven builds conversational AI agents that don't just answer customers, they act: going into a customer's account, finding the actual problem, and fixing it, with no human required. Position Overview
We're looking for a Director, People Business Partner to help build and scale the People function at Maven during a period of significant growth. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who can move seamlessly between partnering with senior leaders on complex People challenges and rolling up their sleeves to build and execute the processes that make a growing company run.
You'll own a broad range of work across the employee lifecycle, including performance management, employee relations, promotions, terminations, policies, compliance, onboarding and offboarding, while helping build the People infrastructure and playbooks Maven needs for its next stage of growth.
Just as importantly, you'll serve as a trusted thought partner to leaders across the company. We're looking for someone who brings strong judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the confidence to challenge assumptions, push back when needed, and help leaders navigate difficult People and organizational decisions.
