Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a full-time Senior Systems Engineer to enhance the performance and efficiency of our deployments. You will be in charge of owning the entire end to end system level performance for our deployments. In this role, you will collaborate closely with teams across Hardware, Infrastructure, and Machine Learning to integrate robust, production-grade solutions into our customers’ complex software environments.

This role involves working closely with the solution team intentionally to design the cell/system flow, working closely with SW and HW to make sure the cell behavior matches the above workflow as well as SOW (Scope of Work). Travel to customer sites should be expected; travel time will be in conjunction with deployments and can last several weeks at a time. However, travel time is minimal to none when not in deployment. 

• 1. Academic focus on simulation performance without acknowledging the reality gap in physical hardware deployment
• 2. Poor understanding of latency constraints and edge-computing limitations on industrial robot arms
• 3. Defensiveness when questioned about system recovery after a picking failure

I build robust machine learning and vision stacks that allow robotic systems to reliably pick and pack anything in chaotic warehouse environments.
