Position Summary & Responsibilities

Virta Health is on a mission to reverse metabolic disease in one billion people. Current treatment approaches aren’t working—over half of US adults have either type 2 diabetes or prediabetes, and obesity rates are at an all-time high. Virta is changing this by helping people reverse their metabolic condition through innovations in technology, personalized nutrition, and virtual care delivery reinvented from the ground up. We're looking for a part-time contract Community and Member Advocacy Manager to help grow Virta's member engagement through a few key projects. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships, bringing people together, and creating meaningful experiences that strengthen our Virta member community.

You'll work directly with members and member ambassadors to coordinate local events, support community-building efforts on social media, and help transform participating members into long-term Virta advocates.

Throughout the process, you will also help identify compelling member stories that can support the communications and marketing teams.

This is a highly collaborative role for someone who is energized by connecting with people and thrives in a fast-moving environment.

Hours: 20 hours/week
Length: 12 weeks
Rate: $45-50/hr

Responsibilities

As part of the communications team, you’ll support three main initiatives, through a 12-week sprint, with a laser focus on growing our Virta member community.
