Position Summary

Virtuous is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale our CRM+ platform, the system that powers fundraising and donor engagement for the world’s leading nonprofits. You'll work primarily in C# and Vue within an Azure and SQL Server environment. You’ll partner closely with product, design, and other engineers to ship features that directly impact how organizations connect with their donors and advance their missions.

Virtuous CRM+ is built on the latest version of .NET and Vue, and we are actively building AI-first features on the leading edge of SaaS software.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who is AI-Forward and thinks like a Product Engineer. You won't just implement stories; you’ll understand the "why" behind the work and actively collaborate with the team to deliver innovation and customer value. You’ll be expected to actively influence product direction and operate with high agency and ownership within your squad.

Responsibilities

  • Build, and maintain features across our CRM+ platform using C#, .NET, and SQL Server

  • Architect and operate services on Azure, with an eye toward scalability, reliability, and cost

  • Partner with Product and Design to shape requirements - not just receive them - bringing a customer-first perspective to technical tradeoffs

  • Use AI tools, especially Claude Code, as a core part of your daily workflow: for prototyping, code generation, testing, debugging, documentation, and accelerating delivery

  • Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and unit tests - and participate actively in the code review process

  • Mentor and pair program other engineers and help raise the bar for engineering practices across the team
